Village income tax quarterly estimates due July 15
You may need to get out your checkbook.
In case time slipped away from you, the Village of Bluffton’s April 15 and June 15 estimated quarterly tax payments were extended to Wednesday, July 15, and that date looms on this week’s calendar.
Quarterly payments are due to the village when taxpayers owe more than S200 in non-withheld income tax. The quarterly payment program is new this year.
According to the village income tax administrator, quarterly estimated payments will be credited to the balance of tax owed for village income tax each year. If an overpayment is made a refund will be sent to taxpayers.
The village quarterly dates for 2020 were adjusted due to impacts on businesses and individuals related to covid-19 effects on the U.S. economic this winter.
Normally, the village quarterly estimated payments will be these dates:
First payment due: April 15
Second payment due: June 15
Third payment due: Sept. 15
Fourth payment due: Dec. 15.
Tax payments may be sent to:
Village of Bluffton
Income Tax Department
154 N. Main St.
PO Box 228
Bluffton, OH 45817
Or they may be deposited in a box located in the town hall lobby. Persons with questions may contact the income tax administrator at 419-369-2998.
