Ottawa-Glandorf spoils BHS girls' soccer opener

BLUFFTON - The Bluffton girls soccer team lost a 2-0 match to visiting Ottawa-Glandorf at Steinmetz Field Wednesday night to open their season.
Bluffton fell to 0-1 with the non-league defeat.
Ottawa-Glandorf jumped on top early as Lilly Hazelman scored in the second minute of play. Alexa Fortman tallied the next goal in the 18th minute. Neither team scored over the final 71 minutes.
Clara Beach assisted on both goals for O-G.
Ottawa-Glandorf put 13 of its 18 shots on goal. Bluffton got off 10 shots, six of which were on target.
Abby Warnecke made six saves in goal for the Titan girls. Keeper Julia Mehaffie was credited with 11 stops for the Pirates.
Bluffton plays next on Saturday, August 29, at Bath at noon.
