Bluffton netters nipped 3-2 at Fostoria

FOSTORIA - The Bluffton girls tennis team lost a close 3-2 match at Fostoria Monday evening.
The Lady Pirates won the two doubles matches, but dropped all three singles bouts to fall to 2-5 this season.
Juniors Libby Frazier and Ellie Nickel won at first doubles by a 7-5, 6-2 score. Freshmen Caitlyn Couch and Brooke Camper combined to win at second doubles 6-4, 6-1.
The host Redwomen won all three singles matches in straight sets. Pirate senior Julia Smallcombe dropped a close decision at first singles by a 6-4, 7-6 (7-4 tiebreaker) count.
Bluffton hosts Ottawa-Glandorf Tuesday, September 1.
