VB: It's Shawnee over BHS in 4

BLUFFTON - The host Bluffton volleyball team lost a close four-set match to Shawnee in their home opener Tuesday night.
Bluffton fell to 2-2 with their second tough loss to a WBL team in as many nights. Shawnee improved to 3-0 with the 25-20, 19-25, 25-19, 27-25 victory.
Juniors Taylor Schwab and Kylie Stackhouse led the Pirate girls with 16 kills apiece. Schwab added eight digs and two aces with a block, while Stackhouse contributed a block.
Setter Skyler Scoles passed up 39 assists and came up with eight digs, while Kylie Monday mustered a dozen digs.
The Pirate junior varsity lost 2-0, and the Pirate frosh also fell 2-1.
Bluffton entertains another non-league opponent in Defiance Ayersville Thursday, September 3.
Lady Pirate netters felled
BLUFFTON - The Bluffton girls tennis team lost 4-1 to visiting Ottawa-Glandorf Tuesday evening.
The Lady Pirates dropped to 2-6 this season with the defeat.
Freshmen Caitlyn Couch and Brooke Camper garnered the lone Pirate win at second doubles by a 6-2, 6-3 score.
Juniors Libby Frazier and Ellie Nickel lost a close three-setter at first doubles by a 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 result.
O-G won all three singles matches in straight sets.
Bluffton is slated to play at Elida Saturday, September 5.
