Edward Hummon was a life-long farmer
Edward W. Hummon, 73, died Sept. 3, 2020 at his residence. Edward was born Sept. 30, 1946, in Lima to the late Edmund and Dorothy (Ferrall) Hummon. On Aug. 15, 1989 he married Ann Frost Hummon and she survives.
Edward graduated from Cory-Rawson High School. He was lifetime farmer and raised hogs for many years. Edward enjoyed tractor pulling, crop tours with his grandchildren and building projects. In the 1980s his hog farm was a test facility for solar energy with the Ohio State University.
Survivors also include two daughters, Gleeanna Roebke of Findlay, Andrea (Dave) Honse of Findlay; seven grandchildren, Hannah Roebke, Isaac Roebke, Zach Roebke, Grace Roebke, McKaila Honse, Lane Honse, Briena Honse; two sisters, Colleen (Ron) Dorner of Benton Ridge, Cheryl Anderson of Huber Heights, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.
Edward was preceded in death by a daughter, Jacqulyn Hummon.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Sept. 8, from 4 - 8 p.m., at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton. A private funeral service will be held. Burial will be in Clymer Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
