Senior center can't wait for October
Bluffton Senior Citizens can’t wait for October as several programs return to the calendar for its members.
Tonya Meyer, director, said, “We finally have the okay to start programming, but the list of rules and regulations is long. We are going to start with just a few programs in October and will expand every month as long as we all stay healthy.”
Check the October newsletter attached below for specific instructions for each of these programs.
Reservations are required for several events by calling 419-358-8971.
Here’s some of the October events:
Wednesday, Oct. 7 – flu shot clinic, 10 a.m. to noon. Limited number of persons in the building is 15 at a time. Shots provided by ONU pharmacy students.
Thursday, Oct. 1 – Bowling leagues begin at Southgate Lanes
Thursday, Oct. 1 – Drive-thru community meal, hosted by English Lutheran Church. Meals are available for pick up at the church, 111 Grove St., beginning at 6 p.m. A donation bucket is available with proceeds to the Bluffton food pantry.
Wednesday, Oct. 7 and Wednesday, Oct. 21 – Jam sessions featuring area guitar players at 2 p.m. Participants are limited to 10 persons.
Tuesday, Oct. 13 – Line dance class, 10:30 a.m., limited to 10 people. Reservations required.
Thursday, Oct. 15 – Drive-thru community meal, hosted by Bluffton Presbyterian Church. Meals are available for pick up in the rear of the Senior Center.
Monday, Oct. 26 – Toenail clinic, 1 a.m. and appointments are required.
Fridays in October – Free movies at the center, starting at 1:30 p.m. Reservations required.
Bingo – First round Oct. 12, 14 and 15. Second round Oct. 26, 28, 29. Limited to 10 players at a time, with reservations required.
