In late October Bluffton will hold an event with masks required
In late October Bluffton will hold an event with masks required and few participants are complaining.
Mayor Richard Johnson announced that trick-or-treating will take place in the village from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 29.
Like most Ohio communities, Bluffton awaited the covid-19 guidelines from the governor’s office before making an announcement. That green light arrived last week.

Some ideas to consider:
• Consider using a Halloween-themed cloth mask.
• Carry hand sanitizer and use it often, especially after coming into contact with frequently touched surfaced and before eating candy.
• Swipe off candy wrappers with sanitizing wipes before opening the wrappers.
• Refrain from having children select their own treats from a bowl. Consider lining up candy on a porch step, or table in the driveway.
• For persons offering candy at the homes, consider providing hand sanitizers for Halloweeners.
