It's Grove over BHS in 4 close matches

COLUMBUS GROVE - The visiting Bluffton girls volleyball team lost to Columbus Grove in a tough four-set Northwest Conference volleyball match Tuesday night.
Bluffton's record dropped to 11-6 overall and 3-4 in the NWC with the close defeat. The Pirates won the second set to tie the match 1-1, but then lost the final two games.
Grove improved to 9-8 and 3-3 in the NWC with the hard-fought 25-18, 21-25, 25-21, 25-19 victory.
Kylie Stackhouse hammered 22 kills and came up with 19 digs to top the Pirate girls. Taylor Schwab contributed 16 kills, a pair of blocks and 23 digs to the Bluffton effort.
Haelynn Bischoff knocked down six kills, while Cora Bischoff added five kills to go with two blocks.
Setter Skyler Scoles dished out 45 assists and mustered 14 digs. Sophie Bricker compiled 15 digs and also fired four aces.
The Pirate junior varsity lost a three-setter, 2-1.
Bluffton hosts MAC foe Minster (9-6) on Thursday, October 12. They then visit ex-NWC rival LCC Oct. 13.
