You may listen to this concert from your home
Bluffton University’s annual Holiday Collage Concert will be streamed for viewing at www.bluffton.edu/musat 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 6.
The concert will feature small groupings of the Concert Band performing traditional Christmas carols and hymns that were originally arranged for the Salvation Army band. Pieces include “Joy to the World,” “House of the Rising Bells” and “Gesu Bambino.”
Vocal solos will be performed by Laura Irwin ’23 singing “Christmas Lullaby” from “Songs for a New World” and Spencer Garrison ’22 singing an original arrangement called “We Sing Gloria,” a project he created in collaboration with Dr. Crystal Sellers Battle, music department chair, during his applied voice lessons.
Since the concert is being held virtually, free-will offerings will be taken for music scholarships at www.bluffton.edu/givetomusic.
