Robert Klingler 1928-2010
Robert E. Klingler, 82 died at 9:06 a.m., Dec. 6, 2010, at Largo Medical Center - Indian Rocks Campus in Largo, Florida. He was born Aug. 30, 1928, in Ada, Ohio to Amos and Bernice (Ewing) Klingler. On Nov. 3, 1950, he married Dorothy Welty and she died March 19, 2006. He then married Marilyn Rettig-Reamsnyder on Jan. 19, 2007 and she survives.
Mr. Klingler retired from the Village of Pandora in 1993. He had also worked at Clark Buick, Findlay and McDowell-Marshall Buick in Pandora.
He was a member of Pandora United Methodist Church and the American Legion Post in Pandora. He was a past member of the Riley Township-Pandora Fire and EMS Dept.
He was a 1946 graduate of Mt. Cory High School. Survivors also include a son, Dennis Klingler of Marion; two daughters, Marcia Harshman of Findlay and Kathleen (Jon) Leemaster of Fremont; three stepsons, Robert Reamsnyder of Findlay, Ronald Reamsnyder of Tiffin; Donald (Lori) Reamsnyder of Seminole, Florida; two stepdaughters Cynthia (Marvin) Schafer of Des Moines, Iowa, Barbara Ritchie of Clarksville, Tennessee; a brother Richard (Sharon) Klingler of Arlington; four sisters Virginia (Kenneth) Geiger of Bluffton, Elizabeth Rettig of Rawson, Margaret (Ronald) Wolford of Findlay, Barbara (Wade) Moser of Pandora; four grandchildren; 10 step grandchildren; and 13 step great grandchildren.
Mr. Klingler was preceded in death by a son, Joe Klingler; a sister Roberta Warren; and a step great grandchild.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday Dec. 13, 2010, at Pandora United Methodist Church. Rev. Mark Hollinger officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Pandora.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2-6 p.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral Home, Bluffton.
