BLUFFTON - The Bluffton girls basketball team was seeded eighth out of 14 teams at the Van Wert district/Div. IV super sectional drawing held recently.
The Lady Pirate cagers (11-9) will visit local rival Cory-Rawson (13-6) in the first round Wednesday, February 17 at 7 p.m. The seventh-seeded Lady Hornets knocked off the Pirate girls 39-29 at Bluffton back in the season opener.
The Pirate/C-R winner will take on the February 17 victor between third seed McComb (15-4) and 14th seed Pandora-Gilboa (2-16) in round two. That sectional final will take place Feb. 20 at 7 p.m. at the higher seed, presumably McComb.
The four sectional final winners advance to the Van Wert district Feb. 25.
Columbus Grove (12-7) was voted the top seed for the second year in a row. Kalida (13-5) was seeded second, while Miller City (11-8) was fourth.
The district finals will be Saturday, Feb. 27 at 7 p.m. in Van Wert.
