Bluffton High swimmers qualify for districts

In their first season as a high school swimming team, nine swimmers from Bluffton High School qualified to move on to the district competition. The high school swim team participated in the Ohio High School Athletic Association Northwest District sectional meet held at the Lima YMCA.
Swimmers who finish in the top 32 spots for each event at each sectional advance on to the district competition.
Bluffton High School swimmers advancing to districts are:
• Girls 200m Medley Relay
(Ella Armstrong, Izzy Stechschulte, Allison Diller, Ellie Hoffman)
• Boys 200m Medley Relay
(Riley Verb, CJ McCall, Simon Derstine, Landon Armstrong)
• Girls 200m Free Relay
(Ella Armstrong, Izzy Stechschulte, Allison Diller, Ellie Hoffman)
• Boys 400m Free Relay
(Riley Verb, Tyler Cupples, Simon Derstine, Landon Armstrong)
• 200m Individual Medley

These swimmers will compete on Friday, Feb. 19 at Bowling Green State University for the Northwest District. Top two finishers in each event will move on to the state finals the following week.
Coaches for the Bluffton high school team are Rachel and Jason Diller and assistant Coach, Bob Verb.
