Bluffton agencies receive United Way bonus
Last July, the United Way of Greater Lima and the United Way of Bluffton, Beaverdam, and Richland Township joined together to collaboratively serve the community.
The goal was through combined efforts the two organizations would be able to effectively address community issues, maximize collective resources, and ensure the needs of the community were met well into the future.
As part of this partnership, the United Way of Greater Lima agreed to fundraise in Bluffton as part of the United Way’s 2020 Fall Campaign and would also provide funding to the non-profit agencies that were previously funded by the United Way of Bluffton, Beaverdam and Richland Township.
Last week, the United Way presented its Bluffton agencies with checks from the 2020 United Way campaign.
Through their combined efforts, the United Way was able to contribute approximately 10% more in funding to each of the agencies through these additional checks. Each agency will also receive their normal allocation amounts later this year.
“We are excited to continue to partner with our Bluffton agencies to improve lives by uniting the caring power of our community,” said Derek Stemen, president and CEO of the United Way of Greater Lima.
“Our partnership is allowing us to invest more in programs and initiatives that truly improve lives in our community.”
