FROM ADA ICON -Ada-Liberty Township Fire Department was called to a wind turb fire reported at 4:31 a.m., Friday morning (March 26), according to the Ada police report.

The turbine at Klingler Road and County Road 50 is one of three on the Ohio Northern University campus.

According to Northern Review @NorthernOnLine, Klingler Road and part of the “Green Monster” (bike and pedestrian path) were temporarily blocked off as crews attempted to put out the blaze.

The two photos  showing close-ups of the window turbine while still in the air are by Doug DeNoi of the Northern Review. Jamie Hall, Ada village administrator, provided photos of the wind turbine on the ground, taken on Saturday morning.

According to the police report (see below the photos) seven vehicle responded to the fire, including one patrol car and an EMS vehicle.
