Ohio Northern University law school graduate and Arlington native Stephanie M. Bishop was appointed to the Findlay Municipal Court by Gov. Mike DeWine today.

Bishop of Findlay, will assume office on April 9, and will replace Judge Mark C. Miller, who was elected to a different bench. Bishop will need to run for election in November 2021 for the unexpired term ending Dec. 31, 2023.

Bishop served as assistant law director for the City of Findlay from May 2011 to March 2021. In this role, she managed and prosecuted misdemeanor criminal and traffic cases in the Findlay Municipal Court. Previously, Bishop served as assistant law director for the City of Fostoria.

Bishop has additional experience in the private sector, where she was a partner at Hackenberg, Feighner, Bishop & Werth, LLC, from 2009 to 2021, providing legal representation to clients related to domestic relations, collections, guardianships, probate and transactional matters.

Bishop holds a Juris Doctorate from Ohio Northern University. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from the University of Findlay. She is a graduate of Arlington High School.

Bishop is a board member of the Crime Stoppers of Findlay/Hancock County and a member of the Findlay/Hancock County Bar Association. Previously, she was a member of the Arlington School Foundation.

While an undergraduate at the University of Findlay, she was s a legal assistant at Robrow L. Crow’s private practice and held the role throughout law school at ONU. Upon her Ohio Bar Admittance in 2003, she began practicing as an associate attorney with Robrow L. Crow.
