Here’s the most unusual Icon introduction to a new principal in Bluffton. This is Ben Thiel, Cory-Rawson elementary principal, getting his head shaved by C-R students during a Wednesday morning assembly. Thiel was hired by the Bluffton school board and will become Bluffton’s next elementary principal upon the retirement of Tim Closson. The haircut was a challenge to C-R students, who raised over $1,700 Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Hero Squad program, a fundraiser for children with these blood cancers.
