Honk for Healthcare Thursday afternoon
On behalf of National Nurses United, Single Payer Action Network and the Poor
People’s Campaign, there will be a Honk 4 Healthcare at 2:45 p.m., Thursday, April 8, in downtown Bluffton.
It will take place in front of the Presbyterian Church on Main Sreet and Cherry Streets, according to Linda Dangelo.
The Honk 4 Health promotes the national House Bill 1976, that Rep. Pramila Jayapal of Washington and Rep. Debbie Dingell of Michigan have introduced along with 112 other co-sponsors in the U.S. House of Representatives.
"We will pass out leaflets, hold signs and encourage people to Honk for Healthcare for All," She said.
