Bluffton Hospital vaccine clinics now for 16-year-olds and older
A nmessage to parents and caregivers of students at Bluffton High School from the Bluffton schools today reminded them that the Pfizer vaccine is now available at Bluffton Hospital for anyone anyone 16 years or older.
The message from Greg Denecker, Bluffton superintendent, mentioned that some parents have inquired about vaccination availability.
The message that follows is from Blanchard Valley Health System:
Bluffton Hospital will offer a COVID-19 Pfizer vaccine clinic for Bluffton High School students ages 16 and above at no charge.
All students under the age of 18 will need a parent present to provide consent for treatment. Appointments will need to be scheduled ahead of time as we do not take walk-ins.
The first dose clinic at Bluffton Hospital will be on Friday, April 30, from 2 to 6 p.m. and the second dose clinic at the hospital on Friday, May 21.
To schedule the appointment, call 419-369-2323 between the hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Denecker said that Bluffton Exempted Village Schools is not requiring students to get the vaccine.
“We encourage you to speak to your healthcare provider if you have any questions about the vaccine,” he said.
