Sharon Niswander worked at Kohl's and was a nurse's aide at Bluffton Hospital
Sharon Sue Niswander, 81, died May 10, 2021, at St. Catherine's Manor of Findlay. Sharon was born Aug. 16, 1939, in Lancaster, Ohio, to the late Gould and Viola (Krogh) Ackerman. On Oct. 9, 1960, she married Edward Niswander who survives.
Sharon graduated from Cory-Rawson High School. She worked at Kohl's Distribution Center in Findlay. Sharon also worked as a nurse's aide at Bluffton Hospital and was bill of lading clerk at Gate's in Sherman, Texas. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, baking especially pies, cakes and cookies.
Survivors include her husband, Edward A. Niswander of Findlay; two daughters, Amy (Bruce) Marshall of Bluffton, Julie (Collin) Loyola of Arlington, Texas; five grandchildren, Ashley (Russel) Rice, Emily (Lane) Gudakunst, Audrey (Derek) Stock, Laura (Morgan) Champine, Danielle (Jeff) Robinson; five great-grandchildren, Lucy Rice, Norah and Forest Gudakunst, J.C. and Ellie Robinson; one great-granddaughter on the way, Zoey Rice; two sisters, Diane Muller of Bluffton, Judy (Gary) DeVier of Lima; a brother, Larry Ackerman of Bluffton and five nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 22, at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton. Ron Geiser officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bridge Home Health & Hospice.
