Richard Geiger was an accountant for Triplett Corporation
Richard A. Geiger, 74, passed away August 17, 2021 at Mercy Health - St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. Richard was born March 3, 1947 in Bluffton to the late Edgar and Stella (Steiner) Geiger. He had been married to Carol (Hussey) Geiger who survives in Pandora.
Richard graduated from Pandora-Gilboa High School and received his bachelor's degree from Bluffton College and later attended Bowling Green State University and the University of Findlay. He was an accountant for RCA - Findlay, Triplett Corporation - Bluffton, Davis Besse Power Plant in Oak Harbor and various other companies. Richard was a member of Grace Mennonite Church in Pandora. He loved playing Bridge and was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes and Cincinnati Bengals fan.
Survivors include two sons, Wesley A. (Nicole) Geiger of Johnstown, Ohio, Randall B. (Lavon) Geiger of Pandora; two daughters, Amanda M. (Craig) Wilhelm of Pandora, Eva J. (Derrick) Okuly of Pandora and eleven grandchildren.
Richard was preceded in death by a grandson, Zachariah Geiger.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Grace Mennonite Church, Pandora. Ivan Friesen officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Pandora. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bluffton University or Grace Mennonite Church.
