VB rallies past Lady Pirate kickers
The visiting Bluffton girls soccer team led most of the way but ended up losing a 3-2 nailbiter at Van Buren Thursday evening, September 2.
The Lady Pirate kickers dropped to 2-2 after the non-conference defeat. The Lady Black Knights improved to 4-2 with the come-from-behind win.
Bluffton's Reagan Mittendorf netted both Pirate goals. She put the Pirates on the board in the 15th minute on a Riley Eachus assist, and the Pirates carried that 1-0 lead into halftime.
Mittendorf then scored unassisted in the 42nd minute to give the visitors a 2-0 margin arly in half two.
