Free Cleveland Brass Works concert Sept. 16
Brass quintet Cleveland Brass Works will perform a free concert at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 16 in Bluffton University’s Yoder Recital Hall. The concert serves as a welcome back for the community after campus was closed to the public during the 2020-21 academic year. Seating is first come, first served and doors will open at 7 p.m. Masks are required inside campus buildings.
Cleveland Brass Works has performed at venues including concert halls, music festivals and corporate events, and provides a unique approach to a brass quintet concert.
While the group’s instrumentation is that of a typical brass quintet, their repertoire is eclectic and features jazz, rock, funk, Latin and swing pieces. Percussion is added to help bring the various styles to life for the audience.
Members of Cleveland Brass Works include Theresa May, Greg Fitch, Debbie Haviland, Brad Kepperley and Scott Hindulak.
