University women's golf shoots 358 to start local classic
The Bluffton University women's golf team shot a 358 on the opening day of the Beaver Fall Classic. Bluffton stands in second place, behind only Ohio Northern after day one at the Bluffton Golf Club.
Haley Gill (Indianapolis, IN/Franklin Central), Allie Waggener (Hilliard/Hilliard Bradley) and Kiley Cline (Fostoria/Hopewell Loudon) all topped the "A" squad with 89's on Saturday. Senior Marissa Hall (Avon Lake) followed with a 91 and Keely Briggs (Franklin) rounded out the first team with a 99.
Isabelle Vance (Continental/Miller City) and and Grace Branson (Carlisle) paced the "B" squad with a 98 and 99, respectively.
The Beavers will look to cut into Ohio Northern's lead when they tee off at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 19, again at the Bluffton Golf Club.
