Margaret L. Basinger worked for Groman Optometry
Margaret L. Basinger, 77, passed away November 3, 2021 at her residence. Margaret was born March 26, 1944 in Findlay to the late Wilson and Jennie (Hartman) Otto. On December 28, 1963, she married Rolland Basinger who preceded her in death on September 21, 2020.
Margaret retired from Dr. Groman Optometry in Pandora where she was an optometric assistant. She loved helping the children in vision therapy and took great pride in assisting with eyewear selection and fittings. Margaret attended Ottawa Missionary Church and enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.
Survivors include two children, Marrette (John) Borsani of Pandora, Scott (Kathy) Basinger of Pandora; three grandchildren, Brittany Borsani, Jessica (Luke) Borsani Powell, Laura Basinger; a brother, Pat (Lois) Otto of San Tan Valley, Arizona and a sister-in-law, Sharleen Olson of Bluffton.
Margaret was preceded in death by a brother, Mike Otto and a sister, Beckie John.
Graveside services will take place at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 8, 2021 at Harman Cemetery, Gilboa with Pastor Rennie Burrus officiating. There will be no visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ohio State University-James Fund for Life.
