Return to Dignity meetings Wednesdays at Bluffton UMC
From Damaging Addictive Behaviors Anonymous
The answers to the following questions are nobody’s business but your own. If you can answer yes to any of these questions, it may be time you took a serious look at what this behavior might be doing to your life.
Questions to help you decide if you have D.A.B. (Damaging Addictive Behavior):
- Do you use this behavior because you have problems?
- Do you use this behavior to avoid facing stressful situations?
- Do you use this behavior when you get mad at friends or family?
- Do you often prefer to do this behavior alone, rather than with others?
- Is your school work or job suffering because of this behavior?
- Do you ever try to stop or do less of this behavior – and fail?
- Is this behavior damaging your health or causing financial problems?
- Do you avoid being honest with others about your use of this behavior?
- Do you use this behavior to avoid responsibilities?
- While this behavior might be normal, do you ever spend too much time using this behavior?
- Does this behavior ever get you into any kind of trouble?
- Do you sometimes or often feel ashamed by your use of this behavior?
