Men's golf battles talented field, weather conditions
The Bluffton University men's golf team had its weekend cut in half by Mother Nature, but it battled a talented field at the Nye Intercollegiate on Sunday, April 10, 2022. Bluffton came in 7th, but the top eight teams were separated by just 25 strokes.
Junior Justin Metsker (Burbank/Wickliffe) paced the Beavers with an 82 on Sunday. Spencer Daniels (Ashland) checked in with an 85, while fellow seniors Dominic Castelvetere (Ontario) and Nick Offenburger (Lexington) were both one stroke behind Daniels. Evan Kujawa (Toledo/Whitmer) followed with a 90 at the Wooster Country Club.
The men will be off for Easter before a final Heartland Conference tuneup at the Earlham Invite on Saturday, April 23 and Sunday, April 24 when the Beavers tee it up at the Richmond Elks Golf Club.
