Euclid man indicted in death of Officer Dominic Francis
On April 11, a Euclid man was indicted in the death of Bluffton police officer Dominic Francis, who was killed on March 31 while trying to stop a car fleeing at high speed near the I-75 exit at State Route 103.
Emin R. Johnson, 20, faces a 10-count indictment that includes charges of involuntary manslaughter and aggravated vehicular homicide. He is believed to be the driver of the car that struck Francis, according to the Findlay Courier. Johnson is currently in the Hancock County Justice Center,
Charges against Johnson include two first-degree felony counts of involuntary manslaughter, alleging he caused Francis’ death while committing a felony offense of receiving stolen property.
The Courier also reported that Dante D. Tate, 19, and Zachary L. Love, 21, who are believed to have been in the vehicle with Johnson, have also been indicted on felony charges.
Tate is at the Cuyahoga County Jail facing a four-count indictment. Love is at the Hancock County Justice Cente facing a five-count indictment.
