Treva Stratton owned Treva's Beauty Shop
Treva Marlene Stratton, 91, passed away April 26, 2022, at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. Treva was born February 19, 1931 in Bluffton, to the late William and Rhoda (Burkholder) Althaus. On August 9, 1953 she married Robert Stratton who preceded her in death on November 28, 2019.
Treva graduated from Bluffton High School and also Frederick's Beauty Academy (Ohio State Beauty Academy). She was a life-long hairdresser and farmer's wife. Treva owned and operated Treva's Beauty Shop for many years. She was a member of First Mennonite Church, Bluffton and attended English Lutheran Church, Bluffton. Treva was a member of the Telesis Club and the Allen County Farm Bureau. She sang in the Handel's Messiah in Bluffton for many years and the church choir.
Survivors include three children, Sue (Bob) Fett of Bluffton, Brett (Diane) Stratton of Ft. Myers, Florida, Jon Jay (Sherry) Stratton of Bluffton; nine grandchildren, Abbie (Aaron) Meyers, Carrie (David) Hartman, Maggie Fett, Lucie Fett, Jonathan (Dr. Layton) Stratton, T.J. (Gina) Wiley, Tisha (Nathan) Lee, Emily (Tyler Spohn) Stratton, Sean (Kelsi Reed) DeCello; eleven great-grandchildren; a sister, Janet Foley of Morristown, Tennessee and a sister-in-law, Elnora Stratton of Bluffton.
Treva was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob Stratton and a sister, Ferol Fett.
A Memorial Service will begin at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, May 1, 2022 at the English Lutheran Church, Bluffton with William Herr and Bob Fett officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bridge Home Health & Hospice, Mennonite Memorial Home or to the English Lutheran Church.
