Gregg Gallery director exhibiting paintings at Bluffton
"Etudes in Liberation on Paper: Hands, Heart, Mind and Rhythm," an exhibition of oil paintings by Andre' Martinez Reed, will open Monday, Jan. 10, in the Grace Albrecht Gallery of Bluffton University's Sauder Visual Arts Center. Free and open to the public, the exhibition will continue through Jan. 28, when the gallery will host a reception for the artist from 4-6 p.m.
Reed is director of the Henry Gregg Gallery in Brooklyn, N.Y. His artwork, done on 300-pound watercolor paper, is influenced by jazz music and mysticism of the Hopi and other animistic beliefs.
Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 1-5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
