Promotions awarded to Bowers and Crow of Findlay OSHP
On June 5, Staff Lieutenant William N. Bowers was promoted to the rank of captain by Colonel Richard S. Fambro, Patrol superintendent. Captain Bowers will remain in his current assignment to serve as commander of the Findlay District Headquarters.
Captain Bowers began his Patrol career in February 2000 as a member of the 135th Academy Class. He earned his commission in September of that year and was assigned to the Bowling Green Post. He earned the Criminal Patrol Award three times and the Ace Award for excellence in auto larceny enforcement twice. In 2004, he was selected as Post Trooper of the Year. In 2006, he was promoted to the rank of sergeant and remained at the Bowling Green Post to serve as an assistant post commander. In 2012, he was promoted to the rank of lieutenant and transferred to the Toledo Post to serve as post commander. As a lieutenant, he also served at the Bowling Green Post. In 2017, he was promoted to the rank of staff lieutenant and transferred to the Findlay District Headquarters to serve as an assistant district commander.
On July 3, Lieutenant Matthew R. Crow was promoted to the rank of staff lieutenant by Colonel Richard S. Fambro, Patrol superintendent. Staff Lieutenant Crow will transfer from his current assignment at the Findlay Post to serve as an assistant district commander at the Findlay District Headquarters.
Staff Lieutenant Crow began his Patrol career in February 1997 as a member of the 128th Academy Class. He earned his commission in July of that year and was assigned to the Fremont Post. Staff Lieutenant Crow was selected as Post Trooper of the Year in 1999 and 2000; and Post, District and State Trooper of the Year in 2002. In November 2002, Staff Lieutenant Crow was promoted to the rank of sergeant and transferred to the Wilmington Post to serve as an assistant post commander. In 2003, he earned the Certificate of Recognition. As a sergeant, he also served at the Fremont Post, Sandusky Post, and in the Administrative Investigations Unit. In 2014, he was promoted to the rank of lieutenant and transferred to the Findlay Post to serve as commander.
