Pirate VB falls to Indians

The Bluffton High School volleyball team lost a three-set, non-league match to visiting Shawnee Tuesday evening, August 30.
The Lady Pirates fell to 3-2 with the 25-18, 25-12, 25-12 defeat, their second in as many nights to a WBL foe. Shawnee improved to 3-1 after the win.
Sophomore Ayla Grandey led Bluffton with five kills and three blocks.
Kendall Stackhouse contributed four kills.
Gracie Yarnell passed out six assists and came up with 10 digs.
Avery Talavinia led the team with 17 digs, and she served one ace.
Olivia Hobensack added three assists.
Olivia Sifered added three blocks.
Shawnee also won the junior varsity match. Bluffton entertains non-league foe Defiance Ayersville (2-3) Thursday, September 1.
