Elephant ear thrives with family's TLC
The elephant ear plant is a tropical perennial, but you might be fooled into thinking it likes Ohio weather, too. A big, beautiful specimen can be found in Janette and Sam Reineke's yard on S. Main St. The plant is a family heirloom that belonged to Sam's mother. It is planted and dug up every year.
