Bluffton's Locklear named to D3football.com Team of the Week
Bluffton University senior Jeremy Locklear (Lincoln Park, Mich./Harry S. Truman) has been named to the D3football.com Team of the Week for his performance against Franklin on October 1.
The Team of the Week, presented by Scoutware, is D3football.com's weekly honor roll, in its 24th season of recognizing the top performance at each position from the previous week. Players are nominated by schools.
Bluffton's Maalik Tucker (Fostoria) hit paydirt on a 19-yard pass from Locklear to open the third with a touchdown to make the score 27-21. Locklear came out smelling like a rose when Bluffton's field goal snap missed the mark and he gathered it up before bailing out and throwing a strike to Tucker! Locklear later caught a touchdown pass from his wide receiver position.
The Beavers are back in action on Saturday, Oct. 8, when they travel to Indiana for a matchup with Hanover College. Kickoff is slated for 1:30 p.m. Go Beavers!
