Donna and Dennis Morrison were married on October 7, 1972 in Fayette, Ohio.

Dennis recalls, "Rev. Carter was our minister at the Bluffton Methodist Church, but he got transferred to the Methodist church in Fayette, Ohio.

"So we decided to go there and be married.with our long time friend Rev. Carter. We had a very small wedding, just our parents and Donna's Aunts and my brothers and a few friends..

"We were building our home on Rt. 1 Bluffton at the time we were married, so we put all our extra money into our home. We traveled to Florida for our honeymoon. When we got back, our home wasn't finished yet and instead of renting an apartment, we just went back to our folks homes.

"I told Donna, I'll call you for a date, LOL. That lasted only one week and we moved into a corner bedroom in the house we live in now.

"I couldn't have married a nicer woman than Donna and she has been by my side all these years.

"As for our 50th Anniversary, we will be spending it at home as Donna broke her leg in August. She is on the mend and she has a really good nurse, me."
