BHS boys soccer edged late by Ottawa Hills, lose 2-1

The Bluffton High School boys soccer team lost a 2-1 battle to visiting power Ottawa Hills Thursday evening, October 6, in non-conference play.
The Pirates had their seven-match win streak snapped as they fell to 8-5-1 this season with the loss.
The Green Bears improved to 10-4-1 with the win.
Ottawa Hills scored with 16 minutes left to break a 1-1 tie and earn the win.
The visitors scored first on an Adam Ayad penalty kick in the 19th minute.
The score stayed 1-0 to intermission.
Pirate Ben Hartzler then tied it up 1-1 at 52 minutes on an assist from Justin Good.
But 12 minutes later, the Bears netted the game-winner.
Pirate goalkeeper Kyle Basil made six saves in goal. The OH keeper was credited with four saves.
The Pirates put four of their 13 shots on goal. OH got off 13 shots, eight of which were on goal.
The Pirates visit WBL leader Shawnee (10-1-1, 7-0 WBL) Saturday, Oct. 8 at noon in another tough non-conference match. The Indians beat Kenton 2-0 Thursday.
