Library host to several winter events
Say goodbye to the winter blues by participating in one or many fun events that Bluffton Public Library will host this season.
First, on Thursday, Feb. 10, from 6:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m., Lois Benham of Scrapbooks in Lima, will present a handmade card workshop. Participants will make three handmade cards for friends or family this Valentine's Day. Samples of the cards are on display at the library. There is a $12 fee for supplies and individuals should bring a glue stick and scissors.
On Monday, March 7 from 6 p.m.-7:30 p.m., Pat Cox will host a jewelry workshop. Participants will learn the craft of stringing (making a string wire) and may make a bracelet for $10 or a necklace for $20.
On Tuesday, March 15 from 6:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m., Mary Maas of Bluffton's M2 Interiors and Design will be presenting a free seminar about basic design and organization of the home. If your New Year's resolution was to get organized, you won't want to miss this.
Finally, on Saturday, March 19 from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Paul Barker of the American Red Cross will teach an adult CPR course. Completion of this course will certify individuals for two years in adult CPR.
All of the workshops will be held in the lower level of the library and require pre-registration. For more information, visit the library, log on to www.blufftonpubliclibrary.org or call 419-358-5016.
