Beaverdam receives $21K Nature Works funding for park fence
Beaverdam will receive a $21,853 grant from Nature Works Round 28 Awards for the installation of a secure fence around a playground area in the village park.
The grant is one of 68 recently announced by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR). $1.7 million in grants will support dozens of new outdoor recreation projects across the state. Projects include the development of playgrounds, natural playscapes, trails, restrooms, dog parks, baseball fields, basketball courts, tennis and pickleball courts, splash pads and picnic shelters.
Other projects in the Icon readership area are $44,621 awarded to McGuffey Park for park expansion and installation of playground equipment, new surface and border, chain link fencing and benches.
