Trinity Lutheran Christmas program and services
A special afternoon service by the students of Trinity Lutheran Church and School, Jenera, called "Illustrations of Immanuel" will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 23, in the church at 301 North Main Street, Jenera.
Organizers note, “Students from Kindergarten through 8th grade will tell of God's promises to His people in the Old Testament times, the birth of Jesus and His death and resurrection. The illustrations will be in the form of Word and Christmas hymns and high school students will do narration. ‘Silent Night’ will be sung in German and English.”
The program will also be presented at 7:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve in the church.
A Christmas Day celebration service will begin at 9:30 a.m. with the theme “A Savior is Born to Dwell among Us.” The Choir will sing “Christmas Joy,” a medley of “Joy to the World, While by My Sheep, and Good Christians All Rejoice.”
A New Year's Eve service is planned for 7:00 p.m., December 31 and a New Year's Day service will begin at 9:30 a.m. on January 1. There will be only one service on both Christmas Day and New Year's Day and no Bible Classes or Sunday School. The regular service schedule will resume on January 8 with services at 8:00 and 10:30 a.m.. Bible Classes and Sunday School both start at 9:20 a.m..
