Gayle M. Marshall worked at Trinity Center for Creative Child Care
Gayle M. Marshall, 71, passed away January 19, 2023 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay. Gayle was born November 7, 1951 in Norwalk, Ohio to the late Don and Marie (Green) Todd. On September 14, 1985, she married John Marshall III and he survives.
Gayle graduated from Edison High School and attended Bowling Green State University. She worked at the Erie County Courthouse from 1972-1985. Gayle later studied child development at the Apollo Career Center in Lima. She worked at Trinity Center for Creative Child Care in Lima for 27 years until she retired in 2022. She loved the babies she care for and her co-workers. Gayle was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Pittsburgh Steelers and was a member of the Bluffton Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her husband, John H. Marshall III of Bluffton; two children, Billy Marshall of Bluffton, Jennifer Marshall of Lima; four grandchildren, Wyatt Gossard, Jillian Hough, Jessica Hough, James Friedenbergh; a brother, Richard (Janet) Todd of Johnstown, Pennsylvania; a godson, Christopher Wright of Wapakoneta; two brothers-in-laws, Mark Marshall of Beaverdam, Dave Marshall of Tennessee; several nieces, nephews and cousins and her beloved pets, Sheba and Emma.
Gayle was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Todd and her in-laws, John and Avis Marshall.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton with Pastor David Good officiating. Burial will be in Rockport Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
