Bluffton girl scouts start taking orders for those famous cookies on Friday!
It's time to order your girl scout cookies. According to Kathy Bishop, service unit manager of the Bluffton girl scouts, nearly 80 Bluffton girl scouts, ages 5 to 16, are ready to take cookie orders.
The girls spent a couple hours after school on Jan. 20, honing their sales skills, making posters, thank you notes in advance and coming up with words to describe this year's cookies to potential customers. The scouts meet at the First United Methodist Church.
According to Bishop presale orders are taken now. Those orders will be delivered by Feb. 26. This year's sales drive takes place from Jan. 21 to April 3.
Bishop said that Little Brownie Bakers, the original girl scout cookie company, is once again creating the famous girl scout cookie. Boxes cost $3.50 each. Contact Bishop at 567-226-1234. She will put you in contact with a girl scout troop selling cookies.
This year cookies are available in the follow:
Lemon Chalet
Trefoils
Do-Si-Dos
