Funeral arrangements for Thomas (Tom) Bucher
Thomas (Tom) Bucher, age 87, of New Albany, Ohio passed away on Monday April 3rd, 2023, surrounded by his family. Tom was born in Bluffton, Ohio on November 17, 1935, to the late Frieda (Bame) and Clair Bucher.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, brother Chuck Bucher, and sister Ann (Wayne) Wilch.
Tom is survived by Anne, his loving wife of 66 years. He also leaves behind 3 children; Becky Thorne, Bob Bucher, and Jim Bucher; 4 grandchildren; Angie (Rex) Toney, Brandon (Mary) Thorne, Jamie Bucher, and Chris Bucher; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; sister Linda (Roger) Augsburger, and Casey the nemesis cat who never quite developed a loving relationship with him.
Tom loved his family and especially enjoyed family gatherings along with playing weekly cards, fishing, golfing with his buddies, and Cleveland and OSU sports. A daily activity was watching and feeding the birds, squirrels, and chipmunks who visited his patio.
Tom will be sadly missed and forever in our hearts. A funeral service will be held to honor his life on Tuesday April 11, 2023, at Schoedinger Funeral Home Gahanna, Ohio. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with interment to follow.
Anyone who knew Tom knew he was ornery, a jokester and not a "suit and tie" guy. Please feel free to dress casually or wear your favorite sports attire.
Donations may be made to Peace Lutheran Church in Gahanna, Ohio.
