Beaver men's golf recap for Polar Bear Easter Classic
HARROD--The Bluffton University men continued their hot play with a 304 on Saturday, April 7, 2023. Bluffton trails just Denison and host Ohio Northern with 18 holes to go.
Dominic Castelvetere (Ontario) led the way for Bluffton and he stands 5th overall after opening with a 73 on Good Friday.
Fellow senior Evan Kujawa (Toledo/Whitmer) was just two ticks back with a 75. Rounding out the scoring four were sophomore Hunter Jolliff (Elida) and senior Nathan Eberle (Grove City) who chimed in with 77 and 79, respectively.
Sophomore Brayden Tosi (Springfield/Kenton Ridge) led the Beaver individuals with an 81, while freshman Noah Macke (Columbus Grove) and senior Justin Metsker (Burbank/Wickliffe) were just one stroke back with identical scores of 82 on Friday.
Seniors Clay Quellhorst (St. Marys/Memorial) and Nick Offenburger (Lexington) went 84 and 86, respectively.
Bluffton will be back at Colonial on Saturday for day two of the Polar Bear Easter Classic. A shotgun start at 9 a.m. is the plan for Saturday's egg hunt.
