Funeral arrangements for Rosa Lee Greenway
Heaven's gates opened up for Rosa Lee Greenway, 93 on May 25, 2023 after a short illness. She was born on July 31, 1929 in Allen County at the Garner House to the late Emil and Lula Mae (Garner) Altstaetter. Rosa Lee married George Richard Greenway on October 7, 1951 after meeting him square dancing, where parents played for many years and they had 71 years of marriage.
Rosa Lee graduated from Columbus-Grove High School and she worked at Neon Products, Metropolitan Bank, Universal CIT and Carter Lumber where she retired. Mom loved to paint, but was very modest of her hidden talent. She also was involved in 4-H as an advisor, the Vagabond Camping Club, Pinnacle Club, Mother's Night Out, and Wally Byam Caravan Club International Airstream Unit Auglaize County. Dick and Rosa Lee traveled over the United States and met many friends with their Airstream. She was a member of Ebenezer Mennonite Church and previously Cairo Methodist Church. Rosa Lee loved her family and was happiest when she was with them or attended their events.
Survivors include her husband, George "Dick" Greenway of Pandora; two daughters, Sue (Greg) Luginbill of Pandora, Deb (Chuck) Mach of Centerville; four grandchildren, Kristen (Paul) Camacho of Morgantown, West Virginia, Julie (Mark) Rieman of Pandora, Alex (Lauren) Mach of Dublin, Jenna (Alex) Beltran of Centerville; ten great-grandchildren, Kenley, Corbin, Trace and Morgan Rieman, Gabriel and Adrian Camacho, Kaley and Madelynn Mach, Ryan and Ethan Beltran; a great-great grandchild, Jersey Nofziger; a sister-in-law, Donna Jean Greenway of Mason, Ohio and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Rosa Lee was preceded in death by her parents along with two brothers, Jack (Leah) Alstaetter and Charles (Louise) Alstaetter.
Rosa Lee's services will begin at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Ebenezer Mennonite Church, Bluffton with pastors Dick Potter and Nick Ringger officiating. Burial will be in Alstaetter Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ebenezer Mennonite Church Youth Fund or the Pandora Missionary Church Youth Fund.
