Apollo "hands on" day for sophomores, Jan 28; open house for prospective students Feb. 1
Apollo Career Center plans two events of interest to local students.
On Friday, Jan. 28, Apollo holds its Hands-On day for approximately 600 sophomores in Apollo Career Center's 11-member district. Parents of sophomore students are also invited to attend.
Hands-On Day exposes students to career possibilities that they may not know about. Students choose two programs of interest and then spend over two hours visiting those labs, meeting the instructors and participating in hands-on equipment demonstrations.
The event provides students with more information to base their career decisions upon and gives them first-hand knowledge about the Career Center.
Feb. 1 open house
An open house for parents and students is set for Tuesday, Feb. 1, (snow date Feb. 2)
Parents and students are invited to explore Apollo and its programs during open house hours from 5:30-7 p.m.
This event is for ninth and tenth grade students and their parents or anyone interested in learning more about Apollo. Instructors and staff will be available to provide information and answer questions.
