On Friday and Saturday, July 21 and 22, the deck of Bluffton opportunities is stacked with summery outdoor events. Live music, a car show, the Bluffton Farmers Market and a Discovery Days promotion offer make this an exceptional weekend for a staycation.
First up is a Friday evening concert on the lawn of Bluffton Presbyterian Church, 112 N. Main. The ‘60s Survivors Band will perform in the gazebo, as they did last summer, with listeners invited to provide their own lawn chairs. The concert is scheduled for 7:00-9:00 p.m.
Also on Friday, the Bluffton Soccer Club will host an outdoor big screen watch party for the first U.S. match at the World Cup. The game is being played in Aukland, New Zealand and is Vietnam's first appearance in the World Cup. The U.S. is ranked #1 coming into the tournament. The game begins at 9:00 p.m.
A special shopping opportunity is the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce Discovery Days promotion. On the fourth Saturday of the month, June-October, participating merchants are distributing tickets for a Bluffton Bucks prize drawing. Visit the following businesses for in-store specials and a chance to win up to $100 in Bluffton Bucks. Earn 1 additional ticket for each $10 spent up to $100.
- Bike Crazy
- Dough Hook Meat Market
- Rodan + Fields
- Family Hardware
- Polished-Boutique 415

The Bluffton Farmers Market takes place on Saturdays in the parking lot between Citizens National Bank at 102 S. Main and the Post Office. However, vendors and wares can change every week with seasonal offerings. This is the second week for local sweet corn. Market manager Greg Probst reports that some 20-24 vendors are at the market this time of year.
It’s not hard to tell when the monthly Bluffton Cars & Coffee gathering has taken place at 902 N. Main (a.k.a. Masterpiece Signs & Graphics): after the 8:00-11:00 a.m. show, eye-catching vehicles are to be found all over town. The car show includes coffee and donuts by Twisted Whisk Cafe, door prizes from local businesses and a 50/50 drawing. This event repeats on the fourth Saturday of the month May-October.
