Pirate girls soccer blanks Knights to open NWC play

The Bluffton High School girls soccer team defeated visiting Northwest Conference foe Crestview 5-0 in the league opener at Steinmetz Field on Tuesday, September 5.
The defending league champion Pirate girls improved to 2-2-1 overall and 1-0 in the NWC with the win.
The winless Knights dropped to 0-4 overall and 0-1 in NWC action after the defeat.
Pirate sophomore Mya McDougle and Blair Utendorf each netted two goals to pace the victors.
Sophomore Aubrey Burkholder tallied the other Pirate goal.
Bluffton visits Cardinal Stritch Thursday, September 7 in a non-conference match.
