Pirate volleyball spikes Red Devils
Bluffton hosts Wayne Trace on September 11

The Bluffton High School varsity volleyball team went to Arlington Tuesday evening, September 5, and came away with a four-set win.
Bluffton won the non-league match by a 25-23, 15-25, 25-10, 25-17 count.
The Pirates improved to 6-2 after the victory.
Kendall Stackhouse drilled 16 kills to pace the Bluffton offensive attack.
Junior Ayla Grandey knocked down 15 kills and dealt a pair of aces.
Gracie Yarnell passed out 32 assists, while Olivia Hobensack added four assists and one ace.
Avery Talavinia mustered 15 digs, and Vanessa Cross added 13 digs. Morgan Fruchey contributed three blocks and one ace. Karlie Lora came up with five blocks.
The Bluffton junior varsity swept the Red Devils, 2-0.
The Pirates visit non-league foe Elmwood Thursday.
Bluffton hosts Wayne Trace Monday, September 11 and visits local league rival Allen East (3-0) Tuesday, Sept. 12 in the Northwest Conference opener.
