Pirate boys soccer win at Ada

The visiting Bluffton High School boys soccer team staved off upset-minded Ada 3-2 in a Northwest Conference battle on Monday, September 25, at War Memorial Stadium.
Bluffton improved to 4-5-2 overall and 3-0 in NWC action with the win. The eight-time defending league champion Pirates remain unbeaten all-time in league play at 41-0-0.
Lincolnview is second to the Pirates in the NWC at 2-0-1.
The Bulldog record fell to 2-5-4 overall and 0-3 in NWC play with the tough defeat.
Freshman Austin Allen scored both Bulldog goals, with one tally coming on an assist by junior Logan Jolliff.
Ada freshman keeper Jacob Rush was credited with four saves in goal.
The Pirates host Ottawa-Glandorf (2-7) Thursday, Sept. 28 at 7 p.m. in a non-league match at Steinmetz Field.
The Pirates then visit winless Riverdale (0-9-1) in another non-conference bout Saturday at 10 a.m. at Falcon Field.
