Joan L. Diller was a homemaker
Joan L. Diller, 91, passed away October 26, 2023 at her residence. Joan was born July 23, 1932 in Allen County, Ohio to the late Lewis and Elizabeth (Beery) VanMeter. On February 19, 1954 she married Theodore Diller who preceded her in death on May 8, 2018.
Joan was a graduate of Beaverdam High School and attended Bowling Green State University.
She had been a homemaker and was a member of Grace Mennonite Church, Pandora. Joan was a member of the Veteran's Motor Car Club of America. She was an excellent seamstress, a creative cook and hostess. Most of all, she was beloved by her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include four children, Cynthia Diller-Mueller of Bluffton, Rachel (Rick) Schleucher of Celina, Teddy H. (Beth) Diller of Pandora, Sarah Diller-Steiner of Bluffton; nine grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Joan was preceded in death by a grandson, Peter Mueller; a son-in-law, Bart Steiner and a brother, John VanMeter.
As per Joan's wishes, a private service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Beaverdam-Richland Fire Department.
