First Advent service at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Dec. 6
The first of three Wednesday evening Advent services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on December 6 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 301 North Main Street, Jenera.
The theme is "Christmas Blessings: A Tradition worth sharing." Pastor Matt Nowak will speak on if tradition is bad or good at Christmas: "We will see how God's Christmas Gifts to us are a tradition worth sharing. His Word gives us hope and joy to share with our family."
Scripture Readings are Galatians 4:4-7 and Luke 2:22-40. The sermon text is Genesis 3:8-15. Hymns are: "When all the World was Cursed; Lord, Thee I Love with All My Heart; and Lord, Now Let Your Servant Depart in Peace."
